Dear Parents, it has been a crazy and productive start of the year so far.  Sorry I have not been on the blog lately.  Just a few items to mention: I want your child to be successful and grow academically so, I need your help with this.  If you could look at the back of the Behavior Report that goes home on Friday  there is a list of vocabulary words  and spelling  words that they will be tested on. Please look over those words with your child.   Sign the bottom of the Behavior Report and cut off your signature and place that in your child's blue folder.  They get a punch in their card if they bring this back to me. Please keep the other half of  the paper so you have it to study with.  The tests are not always on Friday they are sometimes in the middle of the week.  On the calendar side of the Behavior Report for the following week I will type in TEST on the day that there will be a test.  Sometimes you will see the same words again for the following week on the Behavior report because we have not taken the test yet.  Please have your child read a lot at home, this will help with their Reading tests.  Your student have to do a "cold" reading on 2 stories and then they have to write about them so please keep them reading at home!  Thanks for entrusting me with your child, I know it will be a great year!  Thanks, Mrs. Enders

Welcome to all the students and parents.  I hope that your child will settle in quickly into the routines in my class and feel comfortable doing so.  This is going to be a fun and exciting year.  We have a new Reading program called "Wonders"  it will be a learning experience for the students and for myself as this is the first year I will be teaching it.  I am confident that this program will enhance your child's ability to think more critically about what they are reading and writing.  Feel free to come and speak to me anytime about how your child is doing, before school or after school is best.  Thanks, Mrs. Enders

If your child would like a year book they are $10.00 and the money is due by March 14th.  Remember that the behavior report that is sent home every Friday needs to be signed and returned on Monday.  I put spelling words and challenge words on the back for the following week so that you can work with your child.  Spelling is such an important part of what we do every day in class.  Please work with your child at home!  Please let me know if you have any concerns, or please inform me as to how I can help your child be more successful in class.  Thanks for your support, Mrs. Enders

Next Friday on the 17th there will be early release from school; it is also the last day of the quarter.  Please be looking for grade cards to be going home soon, I will need those signed showing that you saw your child's grades.  There will be no school on Monday the 20th so please put that on your calendar as well.  Have a great weekend!!  Mrs. Enders
